ROUND 2 REPORT - MWSF WATERSKI & WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP 2009
Round 2 of the 2009 Malaysian Water Ski Federation National Waterski &
Wakeboard Championship was held in conjunction with the "Ministry of
Youth & Sports Putrajaya Water Sports Carnival" from 12-14 June 2009.
There were more than 40 canoe/kayak. rowing and long boats events so
waterski & wakeboard were limited to only 6 events due to time constraints.
The event went on successfully and the presentation was officiated by the YB
Dato' Razali Ibrahim, the Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports Malaysia, YBhg
Tan Sri Samsudin Osman, President Putrajaya Corporation and YBhg Dato'
Fathul Razi Hj Bakri the Director General of Ministry of Youth & Sports.
Winners of round 2 were "all change" for the slalom events with new winners
in Hadi Irfan, Nadiah Nasir, Majid Dorani & Yusuke Nozawa while the
wakeboard events saw the same winners from round 1 Shamal Norman and Khoo
Cai Mei grabbing the golds.
Round 3 will be again held in Putrajaya from the 17 to 18 Oct 2009. This
will be an international invitational event and will be substantial larger
in scale of participants. See you all at Putrajaya then.
