PAST ACTIVITIES
1991 – Organised the IWSF
Asian Water Ski C’ship in K. Lumpur.
Phillipa Yoong won Silver Medal in women’s slalom.
1991 – Alex Yoong participated
in the IWSF World Junior Championship in Medellin Columbia.
1992 – Phillipa Yoong and Alex
Yoong selected for the Moomba Masters in Australia.
1992 – Sent national team
comprising Phillipa Yoong, Alex Yoong & Alfie Othman to Asian C’ship in
Japan.
1993 – MWSF assisted the
Singapore Water Ski Federation in organizing the IWSF Water Ski World
Championship in Kallang, Singapore. MWSF’s Honarary Secretary, Hanifah
Yoong appointed Event Director in the World Championship. Phillipa and
Alex Yoong selected to participated in the World Championship.
1994–
Organised the IWSF Asian Australasian Water Ski Championship in Kuala
Lumpur. Phillipa Yoong broke the national records in women’s slalom,
jump and tricks. Phillipa won silver in slalom.
1997
– Malaysian national team to the Jakarta SEA Games comprising
Adam Lokman, Alex Yoong & Phillipa Yoong. Medals won: 1 Gold medal (Phillipa
Yoong – women’s jump), 1 Silver Medal (Alex Yoong – men’s slalom), and 2
Bronze Medals (Phillipa Yoong – women’s jump and tricks).
1990 – 1996 – MWSF operated
the National Water Ski Centre in Tasik Desa, Kuala Lumpur.
1996 – 2001 – MWSF operated
the National Water Ski Centre in Tasik Biru in Sungai Buloh.
2004 – MWSF started
negotiations with the IWSF for a leg of the IWSF Water Ski World Cup in
Kuala Lumpur for 2005.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
2007 – MWSF in collaboration
with Waterski & Wakeboard World Cup Sdn. Bhd. (WWWC) successfully
secured an offer to organize a leg of the IWSF Waterski World Cup for
Malaysia.
2008 – MWSF
with WWWC will organize the Putrajaya Waterski World Cup scheduled at
Putrajaya Presint 6 from 7th
to 9th Nov
